Velhalla band is a thrash metal/ crossover band based in Kuching, Sarawak. In 2011,members Dean Overkill and Brandon Distortion recruited guitarist Jasper and drummer Darren Blaster to complete the lineups for their then-project-band.

As days gone by, the band had becoming more and more serious and decided to play local gigs and shows, and also started to write materials of their own. Dean suggested that this band will be named Velhalla (they were other bands using the name VALHALLA so it was changed to VELHALLA instead).

Later in the same year, Jasper left, leaving the band scrambling for solution to solve this problem. In 2012, Velhalla remained as a 3-piece band and managed to play shows and gigs in the local scene. In late 2012, they successfully released their debut demo Thrash And Kill which was released in a DIY manner (limited to only 50 copies).

In early 2013, Dean recruited Keith Destruktor to take role on vocals.

Velhalla's songs and lyrics are mainly about sci-fi elements, technological violence, extra terrestrials, aliens, space anomalies and also a twist of earthly war violence, human torture and political crisis.
