Holiday Madness

Holiday Madness is a hard-hitting grunge rock band based in Kuching Malaysia, a band who prides itself on live performances and song writing abilities with the ability to deliver them both in studio and on stage with energy and noose-tight playing. 

Combining musical influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin to Alice in Chains, Holiday Madness is truly a potent mixture of grunge and classical rock, whilst all sounding distinctly Holiday Madness.

It all started in 1990 as a jamming session among three schoolmates with Zamri on guitar, Alem on bass and Zulyman on drum. They were later joined by Asfia (vocals) and Rudy (guitar) and Holiday Madness was officially formed. Unfortunately Zulyman left the group in 1998 due to work commitment and was replaced by Peysal. 

Initially, it was a band without identity; without any specific genre. But since the grunge scene in Seattle took the world by storm in late 1991, Holiday Madness finally found their music path. 

Today, despite the evolvement in variety of music genre throughout the years, the band faithfully remained in their genre with a strong influences from Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden.

Having performed on the gig circuit in Kuching for the past 15 years since 1994, released 2 demos namely 'Killing Time' (1996) and "Mother of All Mistakes' (2008), Holiday Madness has become one of the reputable bands on the unsigned scene.
